Chapter 3: Apple in my eye.

Zander is officially over being stuck in the house.  So he goes out to do a spot of fishing, this skill is not so easy as the gardening, and spends hours tugging on the string.... Maybe this was not such a great idea after all.

Meanwhile, Ana slips over to her parents house.  Her father thought it would be good for her to meet her nephew.  Vance somehow got Rue to stay late from work, to do some set up at work.  Rue being Rue, accepts this challenge.  Everything is a game to her, and since it is the family business, get is busting her gut to get a head after having so much maternity leave.
Ana is unsure about this kid thing.



Zander: "Yeah boy, I has got me a mother bleepen fish!"
Then Zander proceeds to look around to ensure no one has heard him.


Once Jordan gets home, Vance and Ana head down to the holey grail.  They get it some much needed practice.  At the moment they are focusing on Jazz music, its the client base they are after.  Vance is too old for rocking and Ana is too much soul searcher.  (In other words she likes to feel the flow of the music flow over her body, like her morning hot chocolate.)

They were having a great time until they heard the bar tenders heavy breathing as they were finishing a song.

Ana: "So, Dad.  I think I might head off home now.  Zander has probably prepared an exuberant home grown, home made meal."

Vance: "Ok baby doll.  Remember your mother is planning a party tomorrow.  Don't forget.  You need to play, as I will be at work."

Ana: "Sure thing Daddy, love you."

Ana packed up her guitar and kissed her father on the forehead...... Hastily.

*The Next Day*



So today, these two get up at the same time they normally do.  Which is indeed lunch time.  So Zander got up and made pancakes.  While Ana lay in bed a while longer.  When she gets up, she gets a bowel of cereal.  Yes, I can see why you chose that option Ana. Today is indeed different though , because look.....at.....what....Zander.....is.....doing!!!!! Ana thanks Zander for cleaning, mean while planning to clean it again after he leaves the room.



After the usual morning ritual, Ana announces that she has a day off.

Ana: "So Zee, we are heading out for the day.  I am getting rather sick of this house, it the nicest way possible.  My word is final."

Zander: *As long as I am with you and your pretty face.  Must . . . . resist*  "Sure thing."



Woohooo taxi ride! Yes I know pointless picture, but meh.



Wow flash swimming pool.  Some how Zander has some funny ideas about the place.



Ana: "Wow, look at this place it is spectacular."
Zander: "Was thinking the same thing myself."  *That and it is rather romantic.*  -Sigh- "last one in cleans the toilet."
Ana: "pfft, like you ever would anyway.  But your on!"



Ana: "Ok, so you win."
Zander: "Yeah, I needed some encouragement to beat your little ass."
Ana: "Your a noodle.  Lets have a breath holding contest.  $10 bet!"
Zander: -Laughs- "Ready, set, GO!"







Zander: "DANGNAMIT!"



Ana: -sings- "Oh yeah, I'm awsome, Oh yeah, $10 bucks richer."
Zander: "Oh shut up, hurry up or we are going to be late for your mothers party."
Ana: "Race you for 20?"
Zander: "Na, it's dangerous to run around pools."
Ana: -snickers-



Ana, turns up to her mothers house, her room is still decorated the same, and some random woman she does no know, stands there listening to their greetings.  Ana looks at her sideways, and the woman walks away.



Jordan:  "So how have you guys been, and what is that darling Zander been up to?"
Ana: "On the same old, I am sure Dad has told you about work and the band.  Zander has taken up fishing, gets him out of the house and away from the garden -laughs- He is a funny boy."
Jordan: "So, have you guys started dating yet?"



Ana:  "Oh Mum!"



Random lady then corners Zander.

RL: "I like diamonds, they are so glorious and shiny."
Zander: "Good for you, and I like picking my nose."
RL: -walks off-



Since they were late, by the time the music was cranked out, all the guests had left.  Ana convince her mother into playing some tunes with her.  Now that she was retired, Vance had taught her a few tunes.



Zander has eyes for only one musician.



Zander: "You malkier girls have an amazing talent."
Ana: "Zee, cut it out, you with make my mother blush."
Jordan: -Yells- "You kids enjoy your night, I am off to bed."



Ana: "So I think we should head out for a few drinks."
Zander: "Sounds fun, I will call a cab."

*note* What actually happened here was they went out.  It took 2 hours to get in the lift.  Then they got kicked out for closing time.  FML



These two had a great night out, joking and dancing and drinking.  Then they both get the munchies.

Ana: *Aghh, braaaaain freeze.*



Ana: "Well, how fun was that huh.   I defiantly drunk to much though."
Zander: "You are so beautiful Ana."



Ana: *Oh hell*



Ana then hugs Vance before heading off to bed.  Rarely even noticing the death grip.
Vance: *Some day......I can only hope*
